Pharmacist Tran Minh Tue - Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Health, informed: As of this time,Nghe An88,285 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19, including over 22,000 who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. The Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Nghe An has been conducted safely and ensures that the correct people are vaccinated.
Implementing the National Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign in 2021-2022, the Provincial People's CommitteeNghe AnA Steering Committee has been established, a vaccination plan has been issued, and relevant subcommittees have been formed. The health sector has also organized training for all medical facilities in the province on COVID-19 vaccination.
The Ministry of Health is expected to allocate 4.3 million doses of vaccine to Nghe An province from now until the end of 2021. This means that 2.15 million people in Nghe An will complete their Covid-19 vaccination this year. Since the target group for vaccination is people over 18 years old, 2.15 million people is equivalent to more than 92% of the total population of Nghe An province.
Currently, due to the extremely complex Covid-19 situation in the southern provinces, the Ministry of Health is focusing on allocating a large quantity of Covid-19 vaccines to this region.
However, Nghe An, facing a higher risk of COVID-19 transmission, has received certain priority. Next week, Nghe An is expected to receive 36,960 doses of Moderna vaccine and 56,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. The province will continue vaccinations as planned.
