Timely extinguishing of forest fire in Do Luong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 18, a forest fire broke out in the Ru Ty mountain area, bordering three communes: Tan Son, Hoa Son and Thai Son of Do Luong district.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Military Command of Do Luong district mobilized more than 30 officers, employees and more than 120 mobile militia soldiers from communes in the area, along with 2 blowers and many other fire-fighting equipment, to coordinate with mobile forces to the scene to participate in fighting the forest fire.

In hot weather conditions, steep terrain, thick vegetation and strong winds made firefighting difficult. However, with the close coordination of the district's military officers and soldiers with other forces and people, after more than 2 hours of actively extinguishing the fire, the fire was brought under control. The area and damage caused by the forest fire have not yet been estimated.
