Previously, on December 19th, the Que Phong District Police, in coordination with the Training and Utilization Center for Service Animals - Mobile Police Command, and the Drug Control Team - Nghe An Customs Department, successfully dismantled a drug trafficking ring, apprehending Nguyen Van Hong (born in 1985), residing in Na Toc village, Muong Ngoc commune, Que Phong district, for illegally transporting narcotics. They seized 1kg of methamphetamine.
It is known that Nguyen Van Hong had just completed a 20-year prison sentence for illegally trafficking narcotics. After his release, Hong relapsed into drug addiction. Due to his lazy nature and his need for money to buy drugs for personal use and expenses, he returned to his old ways and continued his drug-related criminal activities.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Que Phong District Police.
