Build more public toilets at Vinh walking street
(Baonghean.vn) - Building public toilets will help people and tourists feel more comfortable when visiting and shopping at the walking street in Vinh City while ensuring a green, clean, and beautiful environment.
During the recent operation of the walking street, one of the issues that residents and tourists were particularly concerned about was that there were too few public restrooms serving tourists compared to the number of people coming here, up to tens of thousands of people every night.

With an estimated number of 10,000-20,000 people per night, building public toilets to serve the people and tourists is urgent. Photo: PV |
In fact, two public restrooms have been installed on the walking streets, one at the walking street management office at 49 Ho Tung Mau, the second at Pho Hoa cafe on Ho Tung Mau street. In addition, Vinh City Youth Union has also installed public restroom signs at four cafes on Nguyen Van Cu and Ho Tung Mau streets to serve residents and tourists.

However, in reality, it is very difficult for people to recognize the location of public restrooms because the signs are not guaranteed and difficult to observe. In addition, due to the large number of people while the number of public restrooms is small, there is often an overload situation. The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh Square has also submitted a petition to Vinh City to arrange more public restrooms because some people have climbed over the fence of the simulated Chung Mountain area, causing unsanitary conditions and affecting the environment in the square area.
Before many comments,Vinh Cityhas built an additional public restroom on Nguyen Van Cu Street. In fact, with limited land in the city center, finding a site to build a public restroom is very difficult. In addition, the city will adjust the signs appropriately as well as encourage some businesses on the walking streets to serve more outside customers.
