The 2022 Lotus Village Festival was solemnly inaugurated.

On the evening of May 17th, at the Kim Lien commune stadium in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, organized the opening ceremony of the Lang Sen Festival - National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival 2022, commemorating the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022).

Attending the opening ceremony were Central Government delegates including Comrade Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and other members of the Ministry's working group.

The opening ceremony was also attended by representatives from the leadership of Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Quang Ngai and Tuyen Quang.

Also attending were Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2022 Lang Sen Festival.

Also attending were leaders from provincial departments and agencies; districts, cities, and towns; actors, athletes, and a large number of local people and tourists from near and far.

In his welcoming speech at the festival, Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - affirmed: The Lang Sen Festival is organized annually by Nghe An province, and every five years it is held on a national scale with solemn rituals and diverse and rich festival activities, making it an important cultural event for the people to honor President Ho Chi Minh.

More specifically, within the framework of this year's festival, the National Traditional Opera and Folk Drama Festival has been chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be held in Nghe An. This is an opportunity for 250 artists and actors from 11 units to compete with 16 performances; it is a chance for artists, actors, directors, musicians, painters, and choreographers to showcase their talent and enthusiasm.artThis will allow for interaction, learning, and enhancement of creativity, all working towards the goal of preserving and promoting national culture in general, and building and developing Vietnamese theatrical arts in particular…

After the Opening CeremonyLotus Village FestivalIn 2022, the National Traditional Opera and Folk Drama Festival was an art program titled "People are the Unwavering Faith in Victory," featuring unique artistic performances rich in national cultural identity, with the participation of over 300 artists, actors, and artisans from 11 professional art units in provinces and cities, and 19 amateur art units in districts, cities, and towns of Nghe An province.

The program's content expresses gratitude, remembrance, and honor for President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 132nd anniversary of his birth; and at the same time, promotes the image of Nghe An in general, and Kim Lien, Nam Dan, the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, in particular, to the whole country and international friends.

+ Opening of the thematic photo exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - The Most Beautiful Name" in conjunction with the inauguration of the Tam Quan Gate, Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, Nam Dan.

+ The photo exhibition themed "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" opened at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.
