Solemn opening of the 2022 Lotus Village Festival

On the evening of May 17, at Kim Lien Commune Stadium, Nam Dan District, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening ceremony of the Sen Village Festival - National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival 2022 to celebrate the 132nd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022).

Attending the opening ceremony, Central delegates included comrade Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and comrades in the Ministry's working delegation.

Attending the opening ceremony were also representatives of leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ngai and Tuyen Quang provinces.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee affirmed: Sen Village Festival is organized annually by Nghe An province, every 5 years it is organized on a national scale with solemn rituals and diverse and rich festival activities, is an important cultural event of the people towards Uncle Ho.

More specifically, within the framework of this year's Festival, the National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival was chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be held in Nghe An. This is an opportunity for 250 artists and actors from 11 units to compete with 16 plays; an opportunity for artists, actors, directors, musicians, painters, and choreographers to demonstrate their talents and enthusiasm.art. After the Opening CeremonyLotus Village FestivalIn 2022, the National Tuong and Folk Drama Festival is the Art Program "You are the belief in victory", including unique art performances imbued with national cultural identity, with the participation of more than 300 artists, actors, and artisans from 11 professional art units of provinces and cities and 19 mass art units of districts, cities, and towns of Nghe An province.

The program's content expresses gratitude, remembrance and honor to President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 132nd anniversary of his birth; at the same time, promotes the image of Nghe An in general, Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Uncle Ho's hometown in particular, to the whole country and international friends.

The 2022 Lotus Village Festival is organized on a provincial scale, taking place for 3 days (from May 17-19) in Vinh city and Nam Dan district, including typical activities:

-May 15:Opening ceremony of the Volleyball and Traditional Martial Arts Tournament of Nghe An province at Kim Lien Commune Gymnasium (Nam Dan).

-May 16:

+ Opening of the photo exhibition "Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name" associated with the inauguration of Tam Quan Gate, Kim Lien Special National Relic Site, Nam Dan.

+ Opening of the photo exhibition with the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.

-May 17:

+ Sports competitions and exhibitions at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City) and Kim Lien Commune (Nam Dan).

+ Opening of camping activities, folk games, kite flying competition at Kim Lien Commune Stadium, Nam Dan.
