Voters in Tan Ky district have requested the repair and upgrading of the Tap Ma water reservoir.

Reply:

According to the report of the Tan Ky District Investment and Construction Project Management Board: The project to repair and upgrade the Tap Ma water reservoir in Nghia Phuc commune, Tan Ky district, was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 7462/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2014; with the District People's Committee as the investor, the total investment is 11 billion 995 million VND.

The goal is to provide a stable water supply for irrigating 50 hectares of rice paddies (two crops per year) and for domestic use for the people of Nghia Phuc commune.

The project is divided into two packages: Package No. 1 involves reinforcing the earth dam and the water intake culvert under the dam; Package No. 2 involves reinforcing the spillway and canals, and structures on the canals; construction commenced on November 14, 2017.

- Package No. 1 has only been allocated 2 billion VND in funding. Construction of the earth dam, including embankment and upstream slope reinforcement, has been temporarily halted due to a lack of funds but is not yet complete.

- In 2022, the Provincial People's Committee allocated 3.5 billion VND to continue implementing the project (Decision No. 288/QD-UBND dated January 27, 2022, on increasing provincial budget revenue in 2020 and remaining funds for land compensation and clearance in 2020, and Hanoi City's budget support for Nghe An province).

Currently, the Tan Ky District Investment and Construction Project Management Board is adjusting and re-approving the budget and conducting the bidding process for Package No. 2, which includes the spillway and canal, and structures on the canal.
