Arrested subject using motorbike to sell 48kg of firecrackers

In early July 2022, through the work of grasping the situation, Cua Lo town police discovered that a number of subjects colluded and connected with subjects in other localities toillegal sale of fireworksfrom neighboring districts to Cua Lo town for consumption with very sophisticated tricks. The subjects often change their methods of operation, causing difficulties for the police force's fight.

Faced with the above situation, Cua Lo Town Police established a special project to combat. During the monitoring process, the Special Project Board discovered that Vo Duc Kieu (born in 1985), residing in Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town, regularly contacted and met with a number of subjects outside the area to discuss the purchase and sale of fireworks.

At 8:00 p.m. on July 26, 2022, detectives discovered Kieu driving a motorbike in the direction of Nghi Thiet commune (Nghi Loc district) across the bara bridge of Nghi Quang commune (Nghi Loc district) to Cua Lo town; behind the motorbike was a styrofoam box, in front of the motorbike was a snake skin. When the subject arrived at the bara bridge area in block 5, Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town, realizing that the opportunity to solve the case was ripe, the Task Force proceeded to catch the subject red-handed for trading in prohibited goods (firecrackers).

At the scene, the police seized evidence including: 01 cardboard box containing 24 36-round fireworks mortars, 01 snake body containing 656 fireworks, with a total weight of 48kg. At the police station, Kieu admitted to the crime.

Currently, Cua Lo town police are continuing to fight and expand the project.
