*On the morning of August 17th,Delegation attending the ceremony commemorating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.(September 5, 1962 - September 5, 2022), 45 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2022), a ceremony was held in Nghe An to offer incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site, Nam Dan, Nghe An.

* On the same afternoon, in Vinh City, Nghe An province, a solemn ceremony was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam, and representatives from seven provinces of Laos with traditional ties to Nghe An province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received citizen Nguyen Van Khanh (residing in Khanh Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district). Mr. Khanh requested that the competent authorities consider and recognize Mr. Nguyen Van Giam (Mr. Khanh's uncle), currently buried at the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, as a martyr.
