Defense Area - Civil Defense Exercise: Fighting the enemy attacking the village

Within the framework of the 2022 Nghe An Province Defense Area - Civil Defense Exercise, on the morning of August 31, the Exercise Steering Committee organized a live combat scenario "Fighting the enemy attacking villages and communes". The combat location was Hamlet 4, Hung Yen Nam Commune, Hung Nguyen District.

Attending and directing the exercise on the side of Military Region 4 was Major General Le Van Vy - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Exercise; comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department. Also attending were representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Provincial Police, departments, branches and leaders of Hung Nguyen district.

“Fighting against enemy attacks on villages and communes” is one of the important contents of the 2022 Nghe An Province Civil Defense - Defense Area exercise. The exercise assumes a hypothetical situation that after occupying some neighboring localities, the enemy advances into Hung Yen Nam commune.

Meanwhile, the army and people of Hung Yen Nam commune built a system of solid, interconnected village and commune battle fortifications; coordinated with the armed forces of Hung Yen Bac commune, Hung Trung commune and other localities and friendly units to organize prevention, wear down, and destroy the enemy attacking the area. Created conditions for superiors to counterattack, destroy the enemy, and maintain the area...

The fighting process was based on the combat plan of the superiors, the village and commune battle formation was proactively prepared; the material facilities serving the combat in the area were interconnected and solid. Strengthening observation, grasping the situation, flexibly applying tactical forms, destroying domestic reactionaries. Close coordination between friendly forces and units, using firepower and obstacles, resolutely preventing and destroying the enemy right from the edge of the village. When the enemy occupied a part of the area, using many plans, quickly counterattacking, defeating the enemy's attacks, and holding the area.

The exercise was assessed to have been successful, well-conducted, and closely followed reality. Through these exercises, the Exercise Steering Committee will draw experience as a basis for building and supplementing combat plans of local armed forces, building a strong national defense, effectively preventing all plots and tricks of hostile forces, and building an increasingly solid defense area.
