Landslide at Doc Cho Pass continues to cut off National Highway 7.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of the remnants of Typhoon No. 4 causing heavy rain in Con Cuong district, National Highway 7, the section passing through Doc Cho, continues to experience landslides, causing traffic congestion. Currently, vehicles cannot pass through because large quantities of soil and rocks from the embankment continue to slide down.
On the morning of October 2nd, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district personally inspected and directed the remediation efforts.

The traffic jam started at 6:30 AM on October 2nd, located at Km110+800, stretching approximately 50 meters, in Boong village, Lang Khe commune. Currently, all vehicles passing through this section of road are waiting for the road to be cleared.

Immediately after the incident occurred, road management forces promptly arrived to address the situation. However, due to the large volume of soil, rocks, and trees that had spilled onto the road, the cleanup efforts faced many difficulties.
The Con Cuong District Road Management Unit has mobilized machinery to the landslide site to address the problem over the past few days. However, due to the massive volume of the landslide, three more excavators have been deployed to the scene. It is estimated that the road will be reopened to traffic around 4-5 PM this afternoon, October 2nd.

Currently, the paved road from Con Cuong town to Thac Kem waterfall has also been washed away by floods, causing a 100-meter stretch to be cut off.
