Heavy rains in the area from Nghe An to Quang Tri are forecast to last until October 5. There is a risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous provinces and flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the past 24 hours (from 7:00 a.m. on October 2 to 3:00 a.m. on October 3), in the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh, there was moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
It is forecasted that from October 3 to October 4, in the area from Nghe An to Quang Tri, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The Central and South Central regions, the Central Highlands and the South have showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.
Warning:Heavy rain in the area from Nghe An to Quang Tri is likely to last until October 5. Thunderstorms in the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions are likely to last for many days to come.

During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Risk of occurrenceflash flood, landslidein mountainous provinces and flooding in low-lying areas.
