At the event, one of the issues of particular concern to customers participating in the "Motorcycle Care Day" was knowledge and skills for handling flooded areas. This was because during the rainy season in September 2022, localized flooding and inundation occurred quite frequently in Vinh City and other areas such as Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, and Nam Dan districts.

For drivers navigating flooded conditions, the risk of water entering the exhaust system is high. Knowing how to use and install spark plugs correctly will ensure continuous and smooth engine operation, guaranteeing uninterrupted traffic flow.

With its strength as a professional spark plug manufacturer with a global reputation, NGK's technicians comprehensively implement training on spark plug knowledge and rescue techniques.

Simultaneously, the event aimed to impart and share practical knowledge, enhancing people's understanding of spark plug lifespan and usage time, how to calculate when to check them, and recommending users replace spark plugs every 8,000 km. According to statistics from the event, approximately 27.4% of vehicles had faulty spark plugs.

Also at the event, customers had their vehicle's oil checked using Idemitsu technology, helping them understand the actual condition and decide whether a change was necessary. In the final step, experts from IRC advised attendees on tire usage, inspection, and maintenance.

Mr. Tran Thanh Kha - Director of Spark Plugs Vietnam Co., Ltd.According to the statement: "In a developing locality like Nghe An, the event attracted the attention of over 10,000 people from Vinh City, and more than 700 vehicles from Nghe An province and surrounding areas to participate."

All of these services are performed completely free of charge by a team of skilled technicians from three Japanese brands: NGK, Idemitsu, and IRC. This ensures that customers not only have peace of mind knowing their vehicles are thoroughly inspected, but also receive reliable, accurate, and useful information, contributing to the longevity of their vehicles, as well as safety and cost savings.

During the program, the organizers applied Industry 4.0 technology to analyze user habits.

Specifically, through the survey conducted during the program, two bad habits of motorbike drivers in Nghe An that need attention are: the rate of texting while driving accounts for 10.83%, and the rate of drivers making phone calls while driving is 24.5%.

"Motorbike Care Day" is a practical campaign for motorbike users, organized since 2014 and continuously expanding in scale and service diversity to provide customers with the best possible care. Before being temporarily suspended due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, for six consecutive years, the program continued to care for tens of thousands of motorbikes across provinces and cities nationwide.
