Free 'Motorcycle Care Day' in Nghe An

At the event, one of the issues that customers were particularly interested in when participating in the "Motorcycle Care Festival" was knowledge and skills in handling when going through flooded areas. Because during the rainy season, in September 2022, localized flooding and inundation occurred in Vinh city and some other localities such as Quynh Luu, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan districts... quite frequently.

For vehicle users when participating in traffic in flooded conditions, facing the risk of water overflowing into the exhaust system, if they know how to use spark plugs and assemble them properly, the machine will operate continuously and smoothly; ensuring uninterrupted traffic.

With the strength of being a professional spark plug manufacturer with global reputation, training on knowledge and spark plug rescue is comprehensively implemented by NGK technicians.

At the same time, convey and share practical knowledge, improve people's understanding of the lifespan, usage time of spark plugs, how to calculate the time to pay attention to check, recommend users to replace spark plugs every 8,000 km. According to statistics at the event, about 27.4% of vehicles have poor spark plug condition.

Also at the event, customers had their vehicle oil checked using Idemitsu technology, helping them understand the actual condition and decide whether or not to replace it. In the final step, experts from IRC advised attendees on how to use, check and care for tires.

Mr. Tran Thanh Kha - Director of NGK Spark Plugs Vietnam Co., Ltd.said: “For a developing locality like Nghe An, the event attracted the attention of over 10,000 people from Vinh City, more than 700 vehicles in Nghe An province and neighboring areas to attend.

Thereby, people are not only assured because their vehicles are thoroughly inspected, but are also provided with authentic, reputable and useful information, helping their vehicles last longer, while ensuring safety and savings.

At the program, the Organizing Committee applied 4.0 technology to analyze user habits.

In particular, through the survey at the program, there are two bad habits of motorbike drivers in Nghe An that need to be noted: the rate of texting while driving is 10.83% and the rate of drivers making phone calls while driving is 24.5%.

“Motorbike Care Day” is a practical campaign for motorbike users, which has been held since 2014 and has been expanding in scale and diversifying services, aiming to bring customers the best care. Before being postponed due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, after 6 consecutive years, the program continued to care for tens of thousands of motorbikes in all provinces and cities nationwide.
