Tan Ky clears land for key road upgrade project
(Baonghean.vn) - After the State invested in the project to renovate and upgrade the road connecting Provincial Road 534B in Tan An commune with Provincial Road 534D in Phu Son commune (abbreviated as Huong - Phu - Hanh road), local people and authorities urgently cleared the land, preparing to start construction in early December.
People agree to donate land

Many households have demolished kiosks, fences, barns, etc., while the rest are harvesting crops on the land. According to the road boundary, this upgrade not only widens the road surface, but also cuts some large curves, so in addition to home garden land and forestry land, there is also rice field land given priority for road construction.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Khang, a farmer in Quang Thanh hamlet, Huong Son commune, is actively harvesting acacia trees along the road with his family members. He said that his family's forestry land along the road is about 60m long, and the entire area has been planted with 4-year-old acacia trees. “My whole family is harvesting acacia trees to sell to traders, handing over land to the State to build roads. For a long time, people living in this remote area have suffered from many disadvantages, due to the degraded transportation system, difficult access for vehicles, and difficult consumption of agricultural products. Therefore, when the State had a project to upgrade the road, my family agreed to donate land. Now I hope the State will soon complete the road to reduce people's suffering,” Mr. Nguyen Viet Khang shared.

Huong Son Commune is the locality with the longest length of this road, with 13km. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoi - Chairman of Huong Son Commune People's Committee said: The Huong - Phu - Hanh road has been severely degraded, making it difficult for people to travel, especially during the sugarcane and acacia harvest season, when cars do not want to enter and transport, and many times they are forced to pay higher prices, making people angry. Therefore, when the State has a policy to upgrade this road, the local government focused on propaganda and mobilizing people to donate land.
After 3 rounds of site clearance, from February until now, the locality has basically completed the site clearance work (currently there is only 1 household that has not agreed, the commune continues to mobilize). This was achieved thanks to the consensus of the people to dismantle assets and harvest crops on the land... all of which were voluntary by the people, the commune did not have to support or compensate.

“From this road axis, Huong Son commune has also invested in a 300m extension to the gate of the commune People's Committee, creating a more spacious appearance for the commune center. The locality is implementing concrete pouring on the road from Trung My hamlet to the commune People's Committee, with a total investment of 6 billion VND from the district budget. The upgraded roads are an opportunity for Huong Son to have better conditions for socio-economic development, striving to reach the new rural destination in the coming years,” said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoi.
Key projects of the district
The project to renovate and upgrade the Huong - Phu - Hanh route is currently a key traffic project of the province.Tan Ky district.
Because as Mr. Phan Van Giap - Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee analyzed, this is the most difficult route in the district, causing localities to develop slowly in all aspects. Therefore, when the State invested capital, the district directed localities to speed up the site clearance work to soon implement the project. With the drastic direction of the sectors and localities, by the end of November, the site clearance work was basically completed, in early December, the district will organize bidding and officially start implementing the project.

According to the project design, the route has a total length of 18km according to the technical standards of level V mountainous traffic roads, the roadbed is 6.5m wide, of which the asphalt part is 3.5m wide. On the route, 61 drainage culverts are also designed to be placed across the road. Sections passing through residential areas are designed with closed drainage ditches made of reinforced concrete...
The total investment of the project is over 148 billion VND, of which the central budget is over 105 billion VND, the remaining over 43 billion VND is from the district budget. The project will be implemented over a period of 3 years. This is also one of the projects aiming to celebrate the upcoming 60th anniversary of the district's founding.
