(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 16, in Vinh city, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a Conference on democracy, law, belief and religion work in 2022.

Attending the event were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors and units; leaders of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities and towns and representatives of a number of religious establishments in the area.

During the Lunar New Year, people organize many spiritual activities related to ancestor worship and family to express their sincerity and gratitude to their ancestors and parents. In the first month of the lunar year, many families go to temples and shrines to perform ceremonies to ward off bad luck, demonstrating the people's beliefs and religious needs.

The Catholic Church organizes basic religious activities in compliance with legal regulations. Buddhist monks and nuns in the province organized purely religious activities, the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee successfully organized the 3rd Congress of Delegates. Buddhist activities and rituals were organized solemnly, safely, economically, in accordance with the law and local regulations. Pagodas, monks and nuns, and Buddhists had many practical activities such as praying for heroes and martyrs, releasing fish in ponds and lakes.
