(Baonghean.vn) - After more than a month of construction, the giant nativity scene welcoming Christmas 2022 at Ke Gai Parish, Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district) has been completed. The structure is an attractive destination for tourists from near and far during the 2022 Christmas season.

Continuing the tradition of creating large nativity scenes, this Christmas, Ke Gai Parish designed a unique nativity scene that is no less impressive than those of previous years. This nativity scene is placed right in front of the main entrance to the Ke Gai Parish church. Photo: Huy Thu

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhien, the person who conceived and supervised the construction of the project, said: "This cave was made from more than 1,000 bamboo poles, 7,000 cement bags, and many light bulbs and LED strips. The cave is 67m long, 15m high, and 10m wide." Photo: Huy Thu

Compared to the 2020 Nativity scene at Ke Gai Parish, this year's Nativity scene is smaller but no less captivating. The scene features various spaces simulating the birth of the infant Jesus, with diverse shapes, architecture, and landscapes. The lighting and color scheme are also thoughtfully installed, making the structure quite striking at night. Photo: Huy Thu

Many of the spaces and images on the nativity scene, such as the Nativity, the Holy Family, and the choir, are designed to be dynamic thanks to a system of motors and traction machines, creating a rather impressive and unique effect. Photo: Huy Thu

This year's Nativity scene at Ke Gai Parish doesn't have as many levels, entrances, and exits as in previous years, but it's quite lively, with all the miniature scenes concentrated at the front entrance. In the photo: A waterfall cascading from above. Photo: Huy Thu.

The Ke Gai parish currently has 5 sub-parishes with 4,400 parishioners. The parish began constructing the Nativity scene on November 13th and completed it on the afternoon of December 16th. Each day, the parish mobilized approximately 25-30 people to participate in the labor. In the photo: Young people visiting the Nativity scene happily take photos on a reindeer-drawn sleigh.
