Tan Ky strongly improves investment environment

PV:Can you tell us about the outstanding results in implementing the socio-economic development tasks of Tan Ky district in 2022?

Comrade Phan Van Giap:In general, in 2022 the districtTan Kyalso faced many difficulties, but under the multifaceted attention of the province, the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Tan Ky district directed the drastic and synchronous implementation of solutions, proactively resolved difficulties, and simultaneously implemented many development measures in various fields. Since then, the locality has achieved many encouraging results.

Specifically, the total production value in 2022 is estimated at over VND 7,579 billion, an increase of 10% compared to 2021. Of which, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector is estimated at over VND 2,326 billion, an increase of 5% compared to the end of 2021; industry - construction is estimated at over VND 3,282 billion, an increase of 13.2% compared to 2021; services are estimated at over VND 1,971 billion, an increase of 10.9% compared to 2021. The average GDP value per capita is estimated at VND 44.2 million, an increase of VND 3.9 million compared to 2021. In particular,budget revenuein the area is estimated at over 149 billion VND, equal to 106% of the adjusted estimate, an increase of 30.4% compared to 2021.

Basic construction work was directed and urged to be implemented. During the year, Tan Ky district completed and put into use key projects: The road from the 4th Youth Volunteer Corps to the center of Tan Hop commune (phase 3), Khe Than bridge, Tien Ky commune; traffic roads and infrastructure of Thac Bon eco-tourism area, Tan Hop commune...

The district continues to speed up the progress of the road project from Tan Ky town to Nghia Hop commune. Commencement of the road projects to Tan Long Waste Treatment Plant (Tan Long commune); repair and upgrade of Nhom reservoir (Ky Tan commune); repair of Tan Thanh Hong suspension bridge (connecting Huong Son commune with Nghia Hanh commune) and Khe Loa suspension bridge (Tien Ky commune)... The power grid system is invested in replacement, improving the quality of electricity on many routes. In particular, the site clearance work is completed for the construction of the 110KV transformer station project with a total investment of 181.9 billion VND; commencement of the lighting system project in Tan Ky town...

The cultural and social fields have seen positive changes. Education continues to be ranked at the top of the province. The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved; the work of caring for policy beneficiaries, meritorious people, social protection beneficiaries, poor households, and near-poor households has been carried out fully and promptly. National defense and security have been ensured. The organizational apparatus of government agencies has been consolidated and improved; administrative reform has been promoted at both commune and district levels...

With great efforts, in 2022, Tan Ky district achieved and exceeded 23/24 main targets assigned by the District People's Council.

PV:To achieve such remarkable results, what specific instructions did Tan Ky district have, comrade?

Comrade Phan Van Giap:One of the important lessons learned is to be determined and resolute in leadership and direction. Reality has shown that any field that has regular attention, direction, monitoring, inspection, and supervision, and assigns specific tasks to individuals, despite difficulties and obstacles, will have more obvious results and changes.

Political determination is also a key issue, deciding the results. Determination here is the unity of awareness, way of doing and pursuing to the end of cadres and party members, first of all of leaders of departments, branches and establishments. Along with that, it is necessary to enhance the sense of responsibility in performing assigned tasks, especially of heads of agencies and units. In addition to the responsibility for the field and unit they are in charge of, leaders of departments and branches must be responsible for advising, proposing and giving advice to the District People's Committee. These are key issues, deciding the quality and results of implementation.

PV:Entering 2023, what key tasks does Tan Ky district set out?

Comrade Phan Van Giap:In 2022, the district's economy showed signs of strong recovery, the political situation in the area was stable, creating conditions for socio-economic development for Tan Ky district in 2023. In addition, 2023 is the third year of implementing the 5-year plan (2021-2025), the year to evaluate the mid-term results of implementing the Resolution of the District Party Congress, the year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the district's establishment, which is of great significance in promoting the implementation and striving to complete the goals of the Resolution of the District Party Congress and the 5-year plan (2021-2025).

Therefore, Tan Ky district continues to implement the Action Program of the Resolution of the 21st District Party Congress. The task is to focus on directing the implementation of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the district's establishment (April 19, 1963 - April 19, 2023).
