In Vietnam, road conditions lead many to believe that high-performance cars cannot fully utilize their potential. In reality, supercars, hypercars, and megacars (with power exceeding 1 megawatt) are still favored by Vietnamese enthusiasts, who seek to purchase them at considerable expense.
Below are the top 5 supercars with the most powerful engines that have arrived in Vietnam.
1. Koenigsegg Regera: 1,500 horsepower
Appearing in Vietnam since early 2022, the Koenigsegg Regera owned by tycoon Hoang Kim Khanh caused a stir when its value was revealed to be nearly 200 billion VND, despite bearing Cambodian license plates. At the time of its launch, the Regera had a starting price of 1.9 million USD. This megacar was produced in a limited run of only 80 units globally, so its value has only increased over time.

The Koenigsegg Regera uses a 5.0L V8 engine producing 1,100 horsepower, combined with three electric motors delivering 700 horsepower. The total power output exceeds 1,500 horsepower and the maximum torque reaches 2,000 Nm. This power allows the supercar to reach a top speed of 440 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.
2. Tesla Model S Plaid: 1,020 horsepower
To date, two Tesla Model S Plaid have arrived in Vietnam. First launched in 2020, this electric car has attracted attention for its power and acceleration capabilities that even hypercars and megacars can hardly match. The estimated value of the car after tax is no less than 9 billion VND.

Powering the Tesla Model S Plaid are three electric motors, producing a maximum output of 1,020 horsepower. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds. Its top speed reaches 321 km/h – a figure that shows this car is in no way inferior to supercars. A fully charged Tesla Model S Plaid can travel between 560 and 637 km.
3. Bugatti Veyron: 1,000 horsepower
Having arrived in Vietnam in 2012 and currently owned by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu – Chairman of Trung Nguyen Group, the unique Bugatti Veyron is rumored to be worth around 50 billion VND. As a supercar that blurs the lines between hypercar and supercar, the Ferrari SF90 boasts impressive performance, combining a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors for a total output of 986 horsepower. Similar to the Bugatti Veyron, this supercar can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. However, its top speed is limited to 340 km/h.
5. Porsche 918 Spyder: 886 horsepower
Despite its price tag exceeding $1 million USD (approximately 23.45 billion VND) in overseas markets, there are two of these German hypercars currently on the road in Vietnam. One is owned by Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, and the other by a notorious car collector in Saigon.

The Porsche 918 Spyder also utilizes a hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.6L naturally aspirated gasoline engine with two electric motors, producing 886 horsepower and 1,245 Nm of torque.
