These car models are eligible for registration fee support in March.

Nissan Almera and Navara receive a 100% reduction in registration fees.

In March 2023, Nissan Almera was still offered a 100% registration fee waiver by the distributor. However, all vehicles eligible for this program were manufactured in 2022.

In the Vietnamese market, the Almera is sold in two versions: CVT and the premium Almera CVT, with listed prices of 539 million and 595 million VND respectively. After discounts, the current price ranges from 474 to 535 million VND.

Therefore, customers buying cars in Hanoi will save between 64.7 and 71 million VND in cash.

Nissan Almera and Navara receive a 100% reduction in registration fees.

The Nissan Almera was first introduced to the Vietnamese market in August 2021. Imported as a complete unit from Thailand, it belongs to the B-segment sedan category, competing with rivals such as the Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, and Honda City.

Similarly, buyers of the Nissan Navara Pro-4X in Hanoi at this time receive 100% support for registration fees, equivalent to a discount of up to 69.8 million VND (the price after applying the discount is only 900 million VND). Competitors of this model include the Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, and Mazda BT-50.

Honda CR-V and City receive a 50% reduction in registration fees.

From the beginning of March, Honda Vietnam also announced a promotional program offering a 50% discount on registration fees for customers purchasing Honda CR-V and Honda City VIN 2023 vehicles. The program is valid until March 31st.

Accordingly, with a 50% reduction in registration fees, customers buying a Honda CR-V will save up to 68 million VND for the LSE version when registering with Hanoi license plates, and a Honda City RS will save approximately 36 million VND.

Honda CR-V and City models will have their registration fees reduced by 50% in March.

The Honda CR-V and Honda City were two of Honda Vietnam's best-selling car models in 2022. Specifically, the Honda City sedan achieved sales of 14,696 units, ranking among the Top 10 best-selling cars in the Vietnamese market in 2022 and within the Top 3 of the B-segment sedan category.

The Honda City comes in three versions, all using a 1.5L inline 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The power is transmitted through a CVT continuously variable transmission.

The Honda CR-V also had fairly good sales in 2022, reaching 9,578 units, placing it in the Top 3 best-selling cars in the C-segment crossover category.

Currently, the car is distributed in Vietnam in four versions. The Honda CR-V uses a DOHC I4, 1.5L gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 188 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, combined with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7 are eligible for a 50% reduction in registration fees.

In March 2022, Suzuki Vietnam offered a 50% discount on registration fees for customers purchasing the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7. Accordingly, with listed prices ranging from 539-678 million VND, the Ertiga Hybrid would receive a discount of 25-30 million VND, while the Suzuki XL7 (listed price 589.9 million VND) would receive a registration fee reduction equivalent to 30 million VND.

Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7 are eligible for a 50% reduction in registration fees.

Currently, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and Suzuki XL7 are the two models with the lowest sales in the affordable MPV segment in Vietnam. In 2022, sales of these two models reached 246 and 6,526 units respectively.

The 2022 Suzuki XL7 is only available in Vietnam in one AT version, priced at VND 589.9 million with fabric seats and VND 599.9 million with leather seats. The car is equipped with a KB15 engine, a 1.5L inline 4-cylinder engine producing 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.

The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is equipped with the same 1.5L engine as the previous version, but all three variants now include an electric motor. This makes the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid the only model with hybrid technology in the price range under 600 million VND.

Toyota Vios and Corolla Cross receive a 50% reduction in registration fees.

Recently, Toyota Vietnam launched a program offering a 50% discount on registration fees for the Vios and Corolla Cross models.

Accordingly, from March 8th to 31st, 2023, customers purchasing a Toyota Corolla Cross will receive a 50% discount on registration fees, applicable to the 1.8V and 1.8G versions, manufactured in 2022.

Toyota Vios and Corolla Cross will have their registration fees reduced by 50%.

In Vietnam, the Toyota Corolla Cross is currently available in three versions: 1.8G, 1.8V, and 1.8HEV. The corresponding prices for these three versions are VND 755 million, VND 860 million, and VND 955 million. Therefore, the discount for the 1.8V version will be approximately VND 44 million, while the discount for the 1.8G version will not exceed VND 38 million. The 1.8HEV hybrid version is not eligible for any discount.

The Toyota Corolla Cross is currently the most consistently performing model from the Japanese automaker in the Vietnamese market. In February 2023, the Toyota Corolla Cross sold 1,085 units, continuing to be the best-selling model in the urban SUV segment.

Also this March, customers purchasing Toyota Vios G and Vios E (MT and CVT) will receive a 50% discount on registration fees and a complimentary accessory package, with a total value of up to 37 million VND.

MG5 receives a 50% discount on registration fees.

In March, MG Vietnam launched a program offering a 50% discount on registration fees for customers purchasing the MG5. Currently, the MG5 is sold in Vietnam in two versions, STD and LUX, priced at 523 million and 588 million VND respectively. Therefore, after applying the discount, the price of the car will be reduced by 26.15 – 35.28 million VND depending on the version.

The MG5 is eligible for a 50% discount on registration fees.

In addition to the aforementioned promotions, MG5 buyers will also receive a complimentary 5-year unlimited warranty.

The MG5 is a C-segment sedan manufactured by the British brand MG Motor (now part of the Chinese conglomerate SAIC Motor). Imported from Thailand, the MG5 was launched in the Vietnamese market in February 2022. This model is equipped with a 1.5L engine producing a maximum power of 112 horsepower and a maximum torque of 150Nm at 4,500 rpm, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 180km/h.

Mitsubishi cars are offered with a 50% discount on registration fees.

In March 2023, a number of Mitsubishi cars in the Vietnamese market were offered with a 50% reduction in registration fees. Specifically, the Mitsubishi Attrage received a 50% reduction in registration fees, equivalent to a discount of 19-25 million VND.

Similarly, the two versions of the Mitsubishi Outlander have had their prices reduced by 42-47.5 million VND. In addition, customers who buy this C-segment SUV will receive a free 360-degree camera (worth 20 million VND).

A 50% discount on registration fees is also applied to the two versions of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Diesel 4x2 and 4x4, valued at 57-68 million VND.

For the Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck, this registration fee discount is equivalent to an amount ranging from 19-28 million VND. The Triton 4x2 AT Mivec version also comes with a free rearview camera (worth 2.5 million VND).

The Mitsubishi Xpander does not have any registration fee discounts, but comes with fuel vouchers worth 10, 15, and 20 million VND for the MT, AT, and AT Premium versions, respectively. The Xpander Cross model, however, includes a fuel voucher (15 million VND) and a 360-degree camera (20 million VND).
