Car models are receiving registration fee support in March

The car market is facing difficulties, with car sales falling sharply compared to the same period last year, forcing many manufacturers and distributors to continue to apply support and incentives on registration fees to stimulate car sales.

Nissan Almera, Navara reduce 100% registration fee

In March 2023, Nissan Almera is still entitled to a 100% discount on registration fees by the distributor. However, the vehicles eligible for this program are all manufactured in 2022.

In the Vietnamese market, Almera is sold in 2 versions including CVT and high-end Almera CVT, with listed prices of 539 million and 595 million VND respectively. After incentives, the car price is now only from 474 - 535 million VND.

Thus, customers buying cars in Hanoi will save cash from 64.7 to 71 million VND.

Nissan Almera, Navara 100% reduction in registration fee.

Nissan Almera was first introduced to the Vietnamese market in August 2021. The car is imported completely from Thailand and belongs to the B-class sedan segment, competing with other rivals such as Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, Honda City,...

Similarly, buyers of Nissan Navara Pro-4X in Hanoi at this time are supported with 100% of the registration fee, equivalent to a reduction of up to 69.8 million VND (the price when applying the incentive is only 900 million VND). Competitors of this model are Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT-50.

Honda CR-V and City reduce 50% registration fee

Since the beginning of March, Honda Vietnam has also announced a promotional program to support 50% of registration fees for customers buying Honda CR-V and Honda City VIN 2023. The program is applicable until March 31.

Accordingly, with a 50% discount on registration fees, customers buying a Honda CR-V will save up to 68 million VND with the LSE version when registering for a Hanoi license plate and Honda City RS will save about 36 million VND.

Honda CR-V and Honda City are the two best-selling car products of Honda Vietnam in 2022. Specifically, the Honda City sedan model achieved sales of 14,696 vehicles, entering the Top 10 best-selling cars in the Vietnamese market in 2022 and being in the Top 3 of the B-class sedan segment.

Honda City has 3 versions using the same 1.5L 4-cylinder inline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The car's power is transmitted through a CVT gearbox.

Honda CR-V also had quite good sales in 2022 with 9,578 vehicles, ranking in the Top 3 best-selling vehicles in the C-size Crossover segment.

The car is currently distributed in 4 versions in Vietnam. Honda CR-V uses a DOHC I4, 1.5L gasoline engine, producing a maximum capacity of 188 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, combined with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7 are supported with 50% of registration fee

In March 2022, Suzuki Vietnam offers a 50% discount on registration fees for customers buying Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7. Accordingly, with a listed price of 539-678 million VND, Ertiga Hybrid will enjoy a discount worth 25-30 million VND, while Suzuki XL7 (listed price 589.9 million VND) will receive a registration fee reduction equivalent to 30 million VND.

Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and XL7 are supported with 50% of registration fee.

Currently, Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid and Suzuki XL7 are the two models with the lowest sales in the popular MPV segment in Vietnam. In 2022, sales of these two models reached 246 and 6,526 vehicles, respectively.

Suzuki XL7 2022 is only distributed in Vietnam in 1 AT version, priced at 589.9 million VND with fabric seats and 599.9 million VND for the leather seat option. The car is equipped with a KB15 engine, 4 inline cylinders, 1.5L capacity for 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.

Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga is equipped with the same 1.5L engine as the old version, but has an additional electric motor on all 3 versions. This makes Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid the only model with hybrid technology in the price range under 600 million VND.

Toyota Vios and Corolla Cross reduce 50% registration fee

Recently, Toyota Vietnam has launched a program to support 50% of registration fees for Vios and Corolla Cross.

Accordingly, from March 8-31, 2023, customers buying Toyota Corolla Cross will be supported with 50% of the registration fee, applicable to 2 versions 1.8V and 1.8G, manufactured in 2022.

Toyota Vios and Corolla Cross reduce 50% registration fee.

In Vietnam, Toyota Corolla Cross currently has 3 versions: 1.8G, 1.8V and 1.8HEV. The corresponding selling prices of these 3 versions are 755 million, 860 million and 955 million VND. Thus, the support level for the 1.8V version will be about 44 million VND, the 1.8G version will not exceed 38 million VND. The 1.8HEV hybrid version is not eligible for incentives.

Toyota Corolla Cross is currently the Japanese car manufacturer's most stable model in the Vietnamese market. In February 2023, Toyota Corolla Cross sold 1,085 vehicles and continued to be the best-selling model in the urban SUV segment.

Also this March, customers buying Toyota Vios G and Vios E (MT and CVT) will receive 50% support on registration fees and a free accessory set, with a total incentive value of up to 37 million VND.

MG5 is supported with 50% of registration fee

In March, MG Vietnam launched a program to support 50% of the registration fee for customers buying MG5 cars. Currently, MG5 is being sold in Vietnam with 2 versions STD and LUX, priced at 523 and 588 million VND respectively. Thus, after applying the fee incentive, the car price will decrease from 26.15 - 35.28 million VND depending on the version.

MG5 is supported with 50% of registration fee.

In addition to the above incentive program, customers who buy MG5 will also receive a gift package of 5 years unlimited warranty.

MG5 is a C-class sedan manufactured by the British car brand MG Motor (now part of the Chinese SAIC Motor Group). MG5 imported from Thailand was launched in the Vietnamese market in February 2022. This model is equipped with a 1.5L engine producing a maximum capacity of 112 horsepower with a maximum torque of 150Nm at 4,500 rpm, helping the car reach a maximum speed of 180km/h.

Mitsubishi car series supports 50% registration fee

In March 2023, a series of Mitsubishi cars in the Vietnamese market are being supported by the company with 50% of the registration fee. Accordingly, Mitsubishi Attrage is supported with 50% of the registration fee, equivalent to a reduction of 19 - 25 million VND.

Similarly, the two versions of Mitsubishi Outlander have a price reduction of 42-47.5 million VND. In addition, customers who buy this C-class SUV will receive a 360-degree camera (worth 20 million VND).

The 50% registration fee support is also applied to the two versions of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Diesel 4x2 and 4x4, worth from 57-68 million VND.

For the Mitsubishi Triton pickup model, this registration fee incentive is equivalent to an amount of 19-28 million VND. The Triton 4x2 AT Mivec version in particular is given an additional rear camera (2.5 million VND).

Mitsubishi Xpander does not have a registration fee incentive but comes with a fuel voucher worth 10, 15 and 20 million VND for the MT, AT and AT Premium versions respectively. The Xpander Cross model in particular has a fuel voucher (15 million VND) and a 360-degree camera (20 million VND).
