Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that among nearly 6,000 candidates participating in the mock test with all 3 parts, 3 candidates achieved the highest score with 93/100 correct answers.

On April 13, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the results of the mock exam for the thinking assessment test. This is an online exam organized by the school on April 9 to help candidates get familiar with the structure and testing method of the 2023 exam.

According to Associate Professor Vu Duy Hai - Deputy Head of Admissions Department, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the number of candidates who got 60-70 correct answers accounted for the highest proportion. Of which, 3 candidates got the highest score with 93/100 correct answers. Notably, the test had 4 candidates achieving perfect scores in the Mathematical Reasoning section and one candidate achieving perfect scores in the Reading Comprehension section.

Analysis of the results shows that the overall test is of good quality, highly reliable, and covers all the requirements of the proposed objectives. The score spectrum is bell-shaped with a peak at around 6-6.5 points, demonstrating high classification for university admissions.

It is known that the mock test is designed to illustrate the structure and content of a real test, including 3 parts: Mathematical Thinking, Reading Comprehension, Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving.

In which, the Mathematical Thinking section includes 40 multiple choice questions (60 minutes); the Reading Comprehension section includes 20 multiple choice questions (30 minutes); the Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving section includes 40 multiple choice questions (60 minutes).

Candidates take turns doing each part of the test according to the prescribed time frame with a total duration of 150 minutes.

The Admissions Council for the Thinking Assessment Test said it will continue to open the mock test system so that candidates can experience and review the test at home until the end of April.

“With the announced score range, the exam is not as difficult as many people think, because most candidates can complete the exam with good scores. With the adjustments to the content of this year's exam, the assessment of thinking is suitable for many students so that they can confidently use the results of the exam to apply to the desired university,” Associate Professor Tran Trung Kien - Head of Admissions Department, Hanoi University of Science and Technology affirmed.

According to the project to organize the 2023 thinking assessment exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize the official exam in 3 sessions on June 10, June 17 and July 8.

The exam is expected to be held in provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, and Da Nang.

From 9:00 a.m. on April 10, the registration system officially opened and has so far recorded more than 10,000 registrations on the homepage (https://tsa.hust.edu.vn).

As of now, more than 30 other universities across the country will also use the results of this exam for university admissions in 2023.
