Russia destroys 2 Ukrainian S-300 divisions, update on Bakhmut situation

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Zaporizhzhia Government Council, said that during the attack on the reserve of the Ukrainian armed forces in Pavlograd (central Dnipro province), Russian forces destroyed two S-300 air defense divisions.

“According to unconfirmed information, in Pavlograd, Russian forces seized a warehouse of materials and explosives for Grom-2 tactical missile systems,” RIA Novosti quoted Mr. Rogov.

Earlier, Mr. Rogov said that Russian forces attacked railway infrastructure and ammunition and fuel depots in Pavlograd, which were used by Ukrainian armed forces to prepare for an offensive in the direction of Zaporizhzhia.

Ukraine has not commented on the above information.

Russian Defense Ministry speaks about the situation in Bakhmut

The Russian Defense Ministry said that in the direction of Donetsk, its units continue to attack the western suburb of Bakhmut.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian paratroopers supported offensive operations and knocked out the enemy on both flanks.

Meanwhile, operational-tactical forces and air force, as well as artillery, attacked enemy manpower and equipment in the Kalinovka, Chasov Yar, Nikolaevka and Stupochek areas of Donetsk region.

US transfers Zuni missiles to Ukraine

According to UNIAN news agency, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oeshchuk, released several images of the Su-25 aircraft carrying Zuni missiles that the US promised to transfer to Ukraine.

Earlier, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper said in early January that the US was transferring 4,000 Zuni surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package.
