Drug kingpin uses knife to resist arrest.
(Baonghean.vn) - Among the 7 individuals recently prosecuted by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Quynh Luu District Police for the crime of buying, selling, and organizing the illegal use of drugs, Vi Xuan Thanh (born in 1996), residing in Nghia Hoi commune, Nghia Dan district, is the ringleader, fiercely resisting arrest with a knife by the police.
On June 9th, the Quỳnh Lưu District Police announced that they had initiated legal proceedings against 7 individuals for the crime of buying, selling, and organizing the illegal use of drugs.

Among them is Vi Xuan Thanh (born in 1996), residing in Nghia Hoi commune, Nghia Dan district - the ringleader of a drug trafficking network that illegally bought and sold narcotics from border districts of Nghe An province to Dien Chau, Quynh Luu districts and Hoang Mai town for consumption and supply to drug addicts in businesses with security and order requirements.
During the arrest, the suspect Thanh fiercely resisted the police force with a sharp knife and attempted to dispose of the evidence.
However, the special task force successfully apprehended Thanh for the illegal trafficking of narcotics. The arrest was carried out safely.

Previously, the Quỳnh Lưu District Police discovered a drug trafficking ring that was illegally buying and selling narcotics from border districts of Nghệ An province to Diễn Châu, Quỳnh Lưu districts and Hoàng Mai town for consumption.
After a period of coordinated operational measures, on June 1st, the special task force launched a simultaneous raid, arresting 5 individuals at a karaoke bar in Quynh Minh commune for the illegal buying, selling, and organizing of drug use. Of these, 3 resided in Quynh Luu district, and the remaining 2 resided in Con Cuong and Que Phong districts.

Expanding the investigation, on June 3rd, the Quỳnh Lưu District Police arrested Vi Xuân Thành. Simultaneously, they continued their investigation and arrested two more individuals, Ngô Văn Đại (born in 1983) and Trần Văn Côi (born in 1999), both residing in Sơn Hải commune, Quỳnh Lưu district, for organizing and illegally using narcotics.
During the operation, the police seized evidence including 2,598 tablets of synthetic drugs (pink pills), one 40cm long knife, and other related items.
