Nghe An Newspaper won B prize at Dien Hong Award

In order to continue to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work on the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, contributing to enhancing the position and role of the National Assembly and People's Councils, the Party Delegation of the 15th National Assembly issued Conclusion No. 1295/KL-DĐQH15 on organizing the National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award).

Accordingly, the Office of the National Assembly is the host unit, coordinating with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and Vietnam Television to organize the Dien Hong Award.

The tournament is held annually, once a year in the first week of January. The first Dien Hong Tournament will be held in June 2023.

After more than 4 months of launching, the first Dien Hong Award received 3,328 press works from 171 domestic and international press agencies, 7 Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council.

The above figures demonstrate the attractiveness and appeal of the Dien Hong Award to the media and society, not only domestically but also internationally. According to the Award Judging Council, this is a quality award and will be an important press award in the system of revolutionary press awards in our country.

The judging panel, consisting of prestigious, experienced journalists who work actively, meticulously, impartially, and objectively, selected 67 outstanding works to award the first National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Council (Dien Hong Award) with 5 A Prizes, 13 B Prizes, 16 C Prizes, and 31 Encouragement Prizes.

Nghe An Newspaper won the B prize with the 5-part special issue: "Worthy of being an elected representative" by the group of authors: Ngo Duc Chuyen, Nguyen Thanh Duy, Nguyen Mai Hoa, Hoang Thi Hoa.

In addition, the Organizing Committee of the Award selected and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chief of the National Assembly Office to 20 collectives with outstanding achievements, making important contributions to the success of the first Dien Hong Award - 2023.

The works selected for the Dien Hong Award are carefully and scientifically invested, of high quality, and demonstrate both content and form; some of them are multi-part series, using modern propaganda forms.

The content of the works vividly reflects the theme of the Dien Hong Award; many works closely follow the process of improving and innovating the organization and operation of the National Assembly and People's Councils, closely follow the breath of life, reflect the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people, propose suggestions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of elected bodies; highlight the position and role of the National Assembly and People's Councils, focus on reflecting the activities of the National Assembly Delegation, National Assembly Deputies, and People's Council Deputies, having a strong influence on society and the public.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Party and State leaders, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches presented the Prize to the authors and groups of authors who won the Dien Hong Prize and the units that made positive contributions to the success of the Prize.

After the Award Ceremony, Head of the Dien Hong Award Steering Committee, Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man launched the second Dien Hong Award - 2024.

The second Dien Hong Award Ceremony will be held in early January 2024 on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).

Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province met and congratulated the group of authors.
