Lightning killed 5 cows of a poor household in the border commune of Tri Le.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 19, in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, there was heavy rain, strong winds and thunder. Lightning killed 5 cows belonging to households in Minh Chau village.

Specifically, the families whose cows were struck and killed by lightning include: Mr. Luong Van Viet's family (2 cows), Mr. Moong Van Tuan's family (1 cow), Mr. Luong Van Hai's family (1 cow) and 1 cow is being verified by the local authorities. These are all poor households in Minh Chau village, Tri Le commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, the authorities of Tri Le commune, Que Phong district sent specialized officers to the scene to make a record and handle the dead cows.
Tri Le is a highland border commune of Que Phong district, 98% of the population is ethnic minorities. This is a commune with a large natural area, people have promoted the advantages of the locality to raise large livestock. Up to now, the whole commune has more than 7,000 buffaloes and cows, this is also the main source of income for people to develop the economy to reduce poverty.
However, people still suffer a lot of damage from natural disasters every year. According to statistics, in 2021, lightning killed 8 buffaloes and cows in Tri Le area. More worryingly, in April 2019, there was a case of people in Nong village being struck to death by lightning.
