These are all poor households in Minh Chau village, Tri Le commune.

Immediately after receiving the information, the authorities of Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, sent specialized officials to the scene to draw up a report and handle the dead cattle.

Tri Le is a mountainous border commune in Que Phong district, with 98% of its population being ethnic minorities. The commune has a large natural area, and its people have capitalized on this advantage to raise large livestock. Currently, the commune has over 7,000 buffaloes and cows, which is the main source of income for the people, contributing to economic development and poverty reduction.

However, people still suffer significant losses from natural disasters every year. Just considering the damage caused by lightning, statistics show that in 2021, lightning killed 8 buffaloes and cows in Tri Le commune. Even more concerning, in April 2019, a resident in Nong village was also killed by lightning.
