According to the Central Committee for the Protection of Cadres' Health, Comrade Le Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, after a period of illness, despite the devoted treatment of the Party, the State, the collective of professors and doctors, and the wholehearted care of his family, due to serious illness, he passed away at 20:20, August 22, 2023 at his private home, No. 217 Lach Tray Street, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City.

Comrade Le Van Thanh was born on October 20, 1962; joined the Party on June 24, 1997; hometown: Tan Lien commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city.
During his working time in Hai Phong city, comrade Le Van Thanh held the following positions: Deputy Secretary, Party Committee Secretary, Director of Hai Phong Cement Company, and Head of the Hai Phong Cement Urban Area Project Management Board; Member of the City Party Committee, Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Chairman of the City People's Committee; Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council.
He is a member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms; a delegate of the 12th National Assembly; and Deputy Prime Minister from April 2021 to present.
