Prigozhin family confirms 'boss' Wagner is dead
(Baonghean.vn) - The family of Wanger's "boss" - Yevgeny Prigozhin confirmed that he died in the plane crash. Along with that, the Russian Investigation Agency announced the victim's identity through DNA test results.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he is in regular contact with the family of Yegeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner private military group. According to the Belarusian leader, Prigozhin's relatives have confirmed that he died after a Wagner plane crashed.
It is worth mentioning that, according to President Lukashenko, "boss" Wagner Prigozhin was warned about the assassination plot against him.
On August 27, Russian investigators also confirmed that, through genetic testing, Mr. Yevgeny Prigozhin had died.
“According to the results of DNA testing, the identities of all 10 deceased people have been established, in accordance with the passenger list recorded in the flight records,” the Russian Investigative Committee informed.
Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman Vitaly Milonov proposed burying Yegeny Prigozhin in Artemovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine) – a place considered a strategic hotspot, and Prigozhin and Wagner made a great contribution to Russia gaining control of this area.
Prigozhin's plane crashed on August 23 in the Tver region of Russia. Passengers on board included Prigozhin and another Wagner leader Dmitry Utkin.
