Prigozhin's family claims that 'boss' Wagner has passed away.
(Baonghean.vn) - The family of "boss" Wanger - Yevgeny Prigozhin - has confirmed that he died in the plane crash. Along with this, the Russian investigative agency has released the victim's identity through DNA testing.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he maintains regular contact with the family of Yegeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner private military corporation. According to the Belarusian leader, Prigozhin's relatives have confirmed that he died in the Wagner plane crash.
Significantly, according to President Lukashenko, "the boss" Wagner Prigozhin had been warned about the assassination plot against him.
Russian investigators confirmed on August 27th, based on genetic test results, that Yevgeny Prigozhin had died.
"According to DNA test results, the identities of all 10 deceased have been determined, matching the passenger list recorded in the flight documents," the Russian Investigative Committee stated.
Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman Vitaly Milonov proposed burying Yegeny Prigozhin in Artemovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine) – a strategically important location where Prigozhin and Wagner made significant contributions to Russia's control of the region.
Prigozhin's plane crashed on August 23rd in the Tver region (Russia). Passengers on board included Prigozhin and another Wagner leader, Dmitry Utkin.
