(Baonghean.vn) - Many opinions have been given to improve support for union members and employees whose working hours have been reduced or whose labor contracts have been terminated due to businesses cutting or reducing orders.

On the afternoon of September 7, the Provincial Federation of Labor held a Conference to deploy the Guidelines for amending and supplementing Decision 6696/QD-TLĐ onsupport union members, employees have their working hours reduced, their labor contracts terminated due to the business cutting or reducing orders.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Committees of the Provincial Federation of Labor; district and industry trade unions and grassroots trade unions at a number of large enterprises.

The conference aims to implement the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Conclusion No. 02/KL-DCT dated August 25, 2023 and Decision No. 7785/QD-TLĐ dated August 25, 2023 on continuing to support union members and employees whose working hours are reduced or whose labor contracts are terminated due to the enterprise cutting or reducing orders. At the same time, guide the district and industry labor federations and a number of enterprises with a large number of workers on continuing to support union members and employees whose working hours are reduced or whose labor contracts are terminated due to the enterprise cutting or reducing orders.

Accordingly, based on Instruction No. 02/HD-LĐLĐ, the beneficiaries of support are union members and employees whose working hours have been reduced or who have stopped working; union members and employees whose labor contracts have been temporarily suspended or who have been on unpaid leave; union members and employees whose labor contracts have been terminated but who are not eligible for unemployment benefits.

The conference received many comments to improve the revised Guidelines, ensuring objectivity, science and the purpose of supporting union members and workers.

Before March 31, 2023, the Provincial Federation of Labor provided support to 513 people with an amount of VND 541.7 million. After March 31, 2023, the Provincial Federation of Labor received an additional 2,024 applications from 6 district and industry unions. Of which, 1,428 people had their working hours reduced, and 1,428 people had their working hours temporarily reduced.suspension of employment contractis 596 people. If the records are qualified, the total expected support amount in the coming time is 2.62 billion VND.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged the serious working spirit of the delegates. With the large number of pending documents, he requested district and sectoral trade unions to review and appraise the documents responsibly, re-examine the payment at the grassroots trade unions, and actively promote this policy, and promptly pay workers immediately after receiving the support money from the Provincial Labor Federation./.
