Nghe An will manage household business taxes on a digital platform.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the roadmap assigned by the General Department of Taxation, the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department will implement the digital map function for business households in phase 2, starting from February 1, 2024. The digital map of business households is considered one of the effective business management solutions on a digital platform.
The outstanding advantages of the digital business map.

Previously, the public disclosure of business household information was done manually and published on the tax authority's website in the form of a list, lacking visual representation and easy search functionality. Furthermore, because the disclosure was organized by each locality, the information was not updated on a centralized system, leading to inconvenient data retrieval, analysis, and sharing with relevant state management agencies.
In response to this shortcoming, and to accelerate the digital transformation and electronic processing of tax administration, the General Department of Taxation has implemented the Digital Map of Business Households function, applicable throughout the tax sector, to improve the efficiency of publicly disclosing business household information as stipulated in the Law on Tax Administration.

Mr. Vo Van Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Tax Department, assessed: “The digital map of business households will significantly contribute to supporting tax authorities in managing taxpayers visually, better understanding the area, preventing omissions, and combating revenue losses. At the same time, it will also better support citizens, businesses, state management agencies, and business households in providing feedback to tax authorities regarding the tax management of business households by local tax authorities, enhancing transparency in tax management.”
The entire province has over 160,000 individual business establishments. When operational, information about these businesses, such as tax identification numbers, full names, signboards, street names, business sectors, invoice usage, revenue, tax rates, and tax payment deadlines, will be encoded and stored digitally in the digital business map. This information will be publicly available to all businesses.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Y Nhi, a clothing business owner in Ben Thuy ward (Vinh City), said: “According to what tax officials have disseminated and what I have learned on tax websites, the digital map of business households will help us easily grasp information about new tax policies; at the same time, check and monitor the monthly lump-sum tax of our business and refer to information from many other businesses in the same industry.”

In addition, the digital business map application helps us promote our products and services, contributing to attracting more customers and increasing revenue. Therefore, I personally fully agree with and support the Tax Department's request to implement it.”
The digital map of business households is deployed on the eTax Mobile application to facilitate business households, citizens, businesses, state management agencies, and other organizations in searching for and responding to information on handheld smart devices anytime, anywhere. The digital map of business households is installed, managed, and operated centrally at the General Department of Taxation. Information is automatically, regularly, and continuously updated from information publicly approved by the tax authorities on the Tax Department's website, according to the tax management process for business households issued with Decision No. 2371/QD-TCT dated December 18, 2015, of the General Department of Taxation.
Strengthening communication with taxpayers.

According to the roadmap assigned by the General Department of Taxation, the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department will implement the digital map function for business households in phase 2, starting from February 1, 2024. From February 1, 2024 to February 28, 2024, the digital map function for business households will enable tax authorities to search, review, and correct any discrepancies in the publicly available business household information for 2024. From March 1, 2024, it will continue to support the search and feedback of information from business households, citizens, businesses, state management agencies, and other organizations.
To date, the departments of the Provincial Tax Department, as well as the regional and Vinh City Tax Offices, have organized training sessions on the digital business map function for all civil servants in the entire sector, ensuring that every tax official is proficient in using the digital business map function on the eTax mobile application.
At the same time, it is required that each tax official act as an active communicator and guide when organizations or individuals need assistance; directing tax officials in the performance of their duties to: Regularly search for and provide feedback on business household information using the digital business household map function to promptly correct and process information to serve tax management work in accordance with regulations and reality.

On August 26, 2023, the Nghe An Tax Department issued a document requesting regional tax offices to report to the People's Committees of districts and cities to direct units to coordinate in organizing propaganda and dissemination to all business households, enterprises, people, state management agencies, and other organizations about the purpose, significance, and instructions for using the Digital Business Household Map function in the area.
Simultaneously, the organization assigned teams to review all business household data on the TMS against reality, update the information on the TMS application according to regulations; and continue to process and correct the information to ensure that the information in the database on the TMS application is accurate.
It is urgent to identify and clarify the reasons why households and individuals are actually conducting business but have not registered their businesses or declared taxes; households with tax rates that do not reflect their actual business situation; households that have declared taxes but are not operating at their business address; households that have registered tax identification numbers but are not actually doing business... At the same time, note that this information needs to be accurately updated from the tax period of January 2024 so that the Tax Department can implement the roadmap set by the General Department of Taxation on schedule.
