Explaining the "transformation" of the village, Secretary of the Na Cay Party Cell Lu Van Quy shared: "That is thanks to the change in awareness and spirit of solidarity, mutual assistance in poverty reduction, and step-by-step construction of new rural areas of the ethnic groups in the area."
After the merger in 2019, Na Cay village has 242 households, 1,117 people with 3 ethnic groups Thai, Kho Mu, Kinh living together, with different customs, practices, and production methods. Life is still difficult, the educational level of the people is uneven, and the poverty rate is high. Faced with that reality, the Party Cell and the Na Cay Village Management Board actively propagate and mobilize people to actively plant forests and develop buffalo and cow breeding.
Typically, Mr. Vi Van Thanh's family, team 3, through the loan program from the Social Policy Bank for near-poor households, in 2020, Mr. Thanh boldly borrowed 50 million VND to invest in buying 3 breeding buffaloes. Up to now, his family's total herd of buffaloes has increased to 12.
Many other households, led by party members, have also boldly sought ways to escape poverty, such as Mr. Vi Van Duyen's household, which bought more land to expand its farm, raising an average of 20 cows, growing cassava, and trading services; Mr. Vi Van Nam's household built a model of garden, pond, and barn (pigs, chickens, cows, etc.) combined with trading. Some households have risen to develop their economy, earning an income of 70-200 million VND/year, typically households like Lu Duy Than, Vi Van Nam, Vi Van Duyen, etc.
With a large area divided into 4 residential clusters associated with 4 production teams, to facilitate management and propaganda work, the Party Cell and the Management Board of Na Cay village have a policy of supporting 200,000 - 400,000 VND/person/month for the team leaders, deputy team leaders of production teams and deputy heads of mass organizations that do not receive allowances from the state budget (support funds are taken from the village fund). The Party Cell and the Management Board of the village take the lead through the team leaders of production teams and mass organizations... From there, the spirit of "eating at home, carrying the prison and the village" has been encouraged.
Besides economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, thanks to being close to the people, respecting the people, listening to the people, building a spirit of solidarity and creating consensus among ethnic groups, the emulation movements in Na Cay village have all received enthusiastic response from the people.
A typical example is the movement of donating land and trees to concretize the internal traffic roads and 4 internal traffic routes to facilitate travel and production. "In 2022, the village mobilized people to contribute to building a lighting line of more than 1,000m long throughout the village and building an 850m wide football field.2serve people's physical and sports needs.
In 2023, the village mobilized people to contribute 300,000 VND per household to build a nearly 600m long power line on the main road and is currently preparing a plan to build a road in production team No. 4 about 800m long. Currently, 80% of rural roads in Na Cay village have been concreted" - Secretary Lu Van Quy excitedly informed.
According to the Party Committee and the Management Board of Na Cay Party Cell, with the exemplary pioneering spirit of "going first so that the village can follow" of 52 Party members in the cell and the solidarity and consensus of the ethnic people in the area, Na Cay is determined to achieve the goal of building a new rural village in 2024. At the same time, maintaining the achievements of more than 10 years of the Party Cell achieving the title of excellently completing its tasks, striving to admit an average of 1-2 Party members each year; being the leading village in all movements and activities in the locality.
