Voters in Nghia Dan district have requested greater openness and transparency in land procedures.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 29th, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation met with voters in Nghia Hung commune, Nghia Dan district, ahead of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
The National Assembly delegates from constituency No. 2 included Mr. Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security; and Mr. Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee. Also present were representatives from Nghia Dan district, Nghia Hung commune, and a large number of voters.
At the conference, delegate Tran Duc Thuan, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense and Security, informed voters about the planned agenda for the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly, which will take place from October 23 to November 29, 2023. Accordingly, the National Assembly will pass 9 draft laws, 2 draft resolutions, and provide opinions on 8 other draft laws; it will also consider and decide on socio-economic issues, the state budget, and oversee other important matters.
At the conference, voters submitted 18 opinions and suggestions, covering various issues related to transportation infrastructure, policies, and job creation.
Voter Le Thi Thu (Gang hamlet, Nghia Hung commune) said that currently, many people of working age in the commune are unemployed, so they hope that attention will soon be paid to arranging jobs so that people can stabilize their lives.
At the conference, many opinions were raised regarding potential issues that may arise after the merger of the three communes of Nghia Hung, Nghia Hieu, and Nghia Thinh, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024. Voter Pham Ngoc Hong reflected that the current cultural centers are cramped and cultural facilities are dilapidated, and therefore hoped that this area would soon receive investment.
Rural transportation issues were also frequently raised by voters at the conference. Mr. Dinh The Hien, Chairman of the Nghia Hung Commune People's Committee, stated that the commune currently faces many difficulties in road infrastructure, particularly on National Highway 48E, specifically the 200-meter section from Hieu Bridge through Nghia Thinh Commune, which is prone to flooding during the rainy season, hindering residents' travel. Therefore, on behalf of the local people, Mr. Hien expressed his hope that this section of road would be upgraded in the future, facilitating easier travel and trade for the community.
Voter Van Thi Hong Lam, Head of the Health Department of Nghia Dan District, stated that according to Resolution No. 99/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly, district-level health centers will be unified and placed under the direct management of the district-level People's Committees before July 2025. However, to date, localities have not received specific guidance, so voters request that guidance documents be issued soon so that localities can plan the implementation of this content.
At the conference, many voters also suggested the need for openness and transparency in land procedures, and that land administration officials should provide clear guidance to the people to prevent brokers from exploiting and harassing people. In addition, voters also wanted a clearer explanation of the amended Land Law and its application to each locality.
In addition, many opinions related to policies for the elderly, those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, ethnic minorities, and insurance schemes for veterans, etc., were also sent to National Assembly representatives by voters.
After listening to the voters' opinions, representatives from Nghia Dan district, Nghia Hung commune, and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs discussed and answered some of the issues raised by the voters that were within their authority.
On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, delegate Vi Van Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee - acknowledged the feedback and suggestions from voters, and forwarded them to the relevant authorities for consideration and resolution.
