Nearly 1,000 workers at Viet Glory Co., Ltd. have returned to work.
(Baonghean.vn) - Following the second announcement from Viet Glory Co., Ltd., nearly 1,000 workers returned to work this morning (October 6).
Previously, at the end of October 5th, Viet Glory Co., Ltd. issued a second notice regarding the issues discussed on October 4th. Compared toFirst notificationIn this announcement, the company's management has provided further clarification on some of the company's regulations and work procedures.

Specifically, regarding the workers' concerns and questions about production quotas, the company explained: Currently, the company has established labor quotas through the technical department and the IE department. For each order, the technical department will have a group of workers conduct a trial run to calculate the appropriate quotas based on the workers' capabilities and the scientific principles of the shoe industry, applicable to all companies within the group. Whenever any design is introduced into production, a progress chart is created, clearly stating the production quota for each day and each department. In the future, the company will further disseminate information about the process and how quotas are calculated so that workers understand and implement them. On October 1, 2023, to boost morale and ensure the livelihoods of workers, the company decided to increase the production bonus for the entire factory (the announcement was published on September 26, 2023).
Regarding the issue of hazardous work allowances for workers, the company stated that it has complied with legal regulations in calculating the allowances. Within the same production line, not all positions involve hazardous work, so some workers will receive the allowance while others will not. The company will educate workers about the specific positions that are eligible for hazardous work allowances.
In the coming period, the company will consider several issues such as attendance bonuses and production-based rewards. Furthermore, the company hopes for employees' understanding due to the current difficult business and production situation. Based on production and business performance, the company will continue to focus on other employee benefits in the future.
The company management also requested that workers return to work on the morning of October 6th. If workers do not return to work, they will be considered to have taken leave from the afternoon of October 2nd. After 5 days of leave, the company will proceed according to the provisions of Point e, Article 36, of the 2019 Labor Code regarding the employer's right to unilaterally terminate the labor contract.

That same day, authorities intervened, worked with the workers, and recorded eight groups of opinions and suggestions.
On the morning of October 4th,inter-agency teamThe delegation held direct dialogues with workers and company management to clarify some of the issues raised in the petition. Following this meeting, the delegation requested that the company promptly issue a notice summarizing the results of the meeting and provide specific explanations (especially regarding production output, working hours, maternity leave, and hazardous work regulations) to encourage workers to return to work as soon as possible.
VietGlory Co., Ltd. was established on November 19, 2019, according to Certificate No. 2902020657 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An province. Its address is Hamlet 8, Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. Currently, it employs over 6,000 workers, and the company is in the process of constructing phase 2. Previously, this company also experienced a situation where workers voluntarily stopped working after the Lunar New Year holidays in 2021 and 2022. The main reasons were workers wanting salary increases, clarity on benefits, and labor conflicts. After the intervention and resolution of the Dien Chau District Labor Union and the Nghe An Provincial Labor Union, the company established a grassroots trade union in March 2021.
