(Baonghean.vn) - Many people still think that growing grapes is only suitable for the sunny, dry land of Ninh Thuan. However, right in the "rice granary" of Yen Thanh district, there are currently 2 grape growing models in the ripe fruit season, creating beautiful images, many tourists come to experience and check-in.

At this time, visitvineyardHa Den in the greenhouse of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoanh's family in Van Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, was truly "fascinated" by the lush, fruit-laden vineyards.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoanh shared: Previously, the family mainly grew melons in greenhouses, however, surveys showed that grapes were quite expensive on the market, and were sold at high prices in supermarkets. With the desire to grow grapes to sell to the rural market at affordable prices, we took the trouble to study the reality at some Ha Den grape gardens in the Central provinces.

Then, the family planted 4,000 m2Black Summer grapes. For grapes to grow and develop well, they must be planted innet house, covered trellis, drip irrigation system and buy seedlings from a reputable place for planting and care.

Thanks to proper care according to the process, according to each stage of plant growth; mainly using organic fertilizers, at the same time, supplementing appropriate nutrition, right from the first crop, the vineyard grew and developed well, giving many bunches, large and even fruit.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoanh, if the grapes grow well, there will be two harvests a year, Spring - Summer and Fall - Winter. With over 4,000 m2, each grape crop yields over 3 tons of fruit and sells for 150,000 VND/kg, bringing the family about 200 to 300 million VND, creating stable jobs for 3-5 local workers. What is special is that the output for grapes is quite favorable, mainly visitors from all over the place come to visit, experience and buy products in the garden. In addition to growing grapes, Mr. Hoanh also maintains over 2,000 m2Melons in greenhouses are quite effective.

At Mr. Le Xuan Hai's greenhouse vineyard in Hamlet 6, Xuan Thanh Commune, it is currently the peak harvest season, and there are often many tourists coming to visit and experience. The owner personally guides visitors on how to cut grapes, as well as introduces the family's vineyard.

Mr. Hai shared: After researching other provinces and seeing the strong development of grapevines, I was determined to build a grape growing model in my hometown, contributing to promoting safe agricultural development. Earlier this year, my family tested planting on 3,000 m2Black Summer grapes in greenhouses, with an irrigation system installed using Israeli technology.

The initial model of growing Black Summer grapes shows that grapevines adapt to local natural conditions. When applied, ensuring technical processes ensure that the plants grow and develop well, have few pests and diseases, and produce high yields and good quality.

With his diligence in researching and learning, up to now, Mr. Le Xuan Hai's Ha Den grape garden has entered the peak harvest period, with an average of 5-7 bunches of fruit per tree, each bunch weighing 0.5-0.8 kg. The fruit is large and juicy, crunchy and sweet, and this crop is estimated to yield about 2 tons, with a selling price of 150,000 VND/kg.

“Taking care of Black Summer grapes in the early stages is quite difficult. We often have to prune the branches so that the tree will produce many flowers and fruit. When the young fruit appears, we have to prune it to ensure that the grape clusters are large, round, and even…”, Mr. Hai added.

In order for the Ha Den vineyard to develop for high economic efficiency and sustainability, Mr. Hai also grows strawberries in a greenhouse, in the form of a day-trip experience. This form both introduces and promotes the product and creates conditions for tourists inside and outside the district to visit and check-in in the greenhouse. This is a fast and effective way to promote the product brand.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Vice Chairman of People's CommitteeYen Thanh districtshared: “The Ha Den grape growing model of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang and Mr. Le Xuan Hai are two pioneering models in Yen Thanh district, in producing clean and safe agricultural products. Currently, the whole district has 22 greenhouses, with a total area of over 30,000 m2.

Each greenhouse is supported by the State with 30% of the construction cost. For a long time, greenhouses have mainly grown melons. In the coming time, the district will continue to encourage greenhouse gardeners to expand the grape growing model and diversify other types of vegetables, tubers and fruits to increase economic value, contributing to partially transforming the local economic structure. Because the vegetables, tubers and fruits in greenhouses are completely grown in substrates, using organic fertilizers, their quality is good and ensures food safety, so they are well consumed in the market.
