Chau Doc floating village (An Giang province), famous for its freshwater fish farming, has recently undergone a makeover, with the hope of becoming a unique new destination for tourists visiting the area.

The floating village of Chau Doc stretches from the Chau Doc river junction towards the headwaters of the Hau River and Chau Doc River in An Phu district (An Giang province), becoming a unique tourist destination in recent years.

On each fish raft, the owners both raise fish and live there like in a normal house on land. The fish rafts are located close together, stretching for about 4km.

To attract tourists, the An Giang Provincial Trade and Investment Promotion Center has implemented the "Colorful Floating Village at the Chau Doc River Junction" project, painting over 160 fish rafts in Da Phuoc town, An Phu district, with six colors (red, yellow, orange, green, blue, and purple).

Currently, over 50 fish farms have been given a "new look," initially creating a visually appealing effect. After the painting is complete, the project plans to encourage social participation in installing LED lights matching the painted colors, creating a unique and dazzling highlight at night.
