Continue to develop Nghe An Newspaper on many digital platforms
(Baonghean.vn) - The Party Committee and Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper require collectives and individuals to make more efforts, promote the application of modern journalism technology; and improve the quality of publications.
On the afternoon of December 1, Nghe An Newspaper held a conference to summarize the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024.
Towards multi-platform journalism
In 2023, the Party Committee and Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper led and directed professional activities to focus on propagating events taking place in the province.
The quality of content and presentation in daily newspapers and weekend publications continues to be improved, with the maintenance of existing pages and columns, and the development of many new columns, to meet the requirements of propaganda work as well as readers' access to information, notably: economic perspectives, short videos...
Nghe An e-newspaper continues to affirm its position in the local Party newspaper system. Nghe An Newspaper continues to develop in the direction of multi-platform journalism. Nghe An Newspaper channels on social networks continue to develop strongly.
In 2023, the entire agency won 65 Central, industry and Nghe An provincial press awards (an increase of 5 awards over the same period in 2022).
In addition to professional activities, the Party Committee and Editorial Board also focus on leading and directing agencies and organizations to promote social, charitable and humanitarian activities. The total budget for social and charitable activities called for and implemented by Nghe An Newspaper in 2023 is about over 2.2 billion VND.
Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag for its excellent performance in completing all tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement of Nghe An province in 2022; Certificate of Merit from the Organizing Committee of the National Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award awarded to Nghe An Newspaper for "Outstanding achievements in responding to the 7th Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award". The Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee awarded many Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
Encourage creativity
Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Thi Kim Oanh - Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies acknowledged the solidarity and efforts of the collective to affirm the brand image of Nghe An Newspaper.
He hoped that in the coming time, based on the plans and tasks set out by the unit, the Party Committee and the Editorial Board would continue to innovate and improve the quality of both content and form of publications; the form of expressing articles would be richer and closer to readers' tastes; accurately reflecting the reality of people's lives.
The Party Committee and Editorial Board always uphold the spirit of solidarity, democracy, pioneering and exemplary in performing tasks; strengthen the management and supervision of Party members and reporters in their work. Well implement the principles of centralism, democracy, and democratic regulations at the grassroots level; the team of cadres, Party members and reporters of Nghe An Newspaper take the lead in protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper acknowledged the efforts of specialized departments, individuals, and each division for Nghe An Newspaper to achieve achievements in the past year.
Deploying tasks for the coming year, comrade Ngo Duc Kien requested that individuals and each department need to make more efforts to meet the requirements of modern journalism, closely linked to the implementation of the Regulations on professional ethics for journalists, things that cadres and civil servants are not allowed to do; promote the application of modern journalism technology; continue to further promote multimedia and multi-platform journalism.
Specialized departments need to continue to carry out in-depth topics and quality series of articles to participate in the press awards of the Central, ministries, branches and localities. Constantly innovate the content, form, and methods of expanding interaction of Nghe An electronic newspaper, in order to increase the number of visits; innovate the way of presenting daily newspapers, maintain and promote the brand of Nghe An Newspaper.
At the same time, specialized departments need to study the mechanisms, policies, and documents of the Party and State to remove difficulties of the unit, striving to further develop Nghe An Newspaper.
“The Party Committee and the Editorial Board encourage the spirit, create space and motivation for cadres, reporters and employees to promote creativity, contribute ideas, implement new ideas and methods to innovate publishing features and forms of publication, especially on digital platforms to increase interaction, promotion and spread of Nghe An Newspaper”, emphasized comrade Ngo Duc Kien.
