Russia will not give explanation for missile incident in Poland
(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after Poland made statements about Russian missiles flying into its airspace, Russian Counselor in Poland Andrei Ordash said that Russia will not give an explanation until there is concrete evidence.

"Until there is concrete evidence, we will not give any explanation because these accusations are baseless," Russian Counselor in Poland Andrei Ordash affirmed on December 29.
The Russian diplomat recalled that the situation was reminiscent of the incident in November 2022, when a missile fell on Polish territory, killing two people. Warsaw immediately tried to blame Russia for the incident. But all the evidence suggests that it was a Ukrainian missile.
Earlier on December 29, Major General Maciej Klisz, commander of Polish military operations, said that a Russian missile entered Polish airspace at around 7am (local time). The missile flew about 40km deep, traveled in Polish airspace for 3 minutes and then returned to Ukraine.
Shortly after, the Polish General Staff also made a similar statement. General Wieslaw Kukula, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, affirmed that all signs indicate that a Russian missile had entered Polish airspace. However, Mr. Kukula did not give any explanation or provide any specific evidence.
From the US, the White House has offered technical assistance to Poland in investigating the missile incident that entered its airspace. President Joe Biden is closely monitoring information about this incident. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on December 29 had a phone call with the head of the Polish National Security Agency, Jacek Siewiera. Mr. Sullivan expressed the US's solidarity with Poland - a close ally of Washington, and pledged to provide support when needed.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg wrote on social network X on December 29 that he had spoken with Polish President Andrzej Duda about the missile incident. NATO stands in solidarity with its allies and is closely monitoring the situation.
