Two people broke into a house and stole money and gold worth nearly 1 billion VND but were pursued and arrested by the police.

On January 18, Thu Thua District Police (Long An) announced that they had arrested two subjects.break into people's house to steal propertynearly 1 billion VND including Ly Nam Quang (32 years old, from Soc Trang) and Pham Xi (58 years old, from Dong Nai).

Accordingly, the Investigation Police Agency of Thu Thua District Police has decided to prosecute the case, prosecute 2 defendants and issue a detention order for Quang and Xi.

Previously, on December 29, 2023, a resident in An Hoa 3 neighborhood, Thu Thua town, Thu Thua district reported to the police that his house had been broken into. Accordingly, the stolen property included cash and various gold bracelets, worth nearly 1 billion VND.

After receiving the information, Thu Thua District Police quickly coordinated with the Provincial Police Department to examine the scene, investigate and prosecute.

Using professional measures, the police quickly identified the two suspects, Ly Quang Nam and Pham Xi, and arrested them.

At the police station, the two suspects confessed that they took advantage of the homeowner's negligence to break in and break into the house to steal property. The police recovered the evidence including money and gold that the two suspects had stolen.

In addition to the above incident, on January 2, a company with 100% Korean capital located in Hoa Binh Industrial Park, Nhi Thanh Commune, Thu Thua District, was also robbed of nearly 1.1 billion VND and 46,000 USD (total value of more than 2 billion VND).

Detectives from the Criminal Police Department and Thu Thua District Police investigated and arrested the perpetrator, Nguyen Dang Khoa (36 years old, from Tien Giang).
