The truth about the 'hot girl' who sold 5 people across the border

The Investigation Police Agency of Gia Lai Province Police has just arrested Vu Thi Khanh Huyen (born in 1999, residing in Chu Ty town, Duc Co district) to investigate the act of human trafficking across the border.

After luring 5 victims to go to Myanmar to sell cosmetics, Vu Thi Khanh Huyen (born in 1999, residing in Chu Ty town, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province) drove the victims to Bo Keo Special Zone (Laos) and then sold them to companies owned by foreigners.

The case was exposed, Huyen was wanted by the Investigation Police Department of Gia Lai Province Police for the crime of "human trafficking".

During the investigation, Dien Bien Provincial Police coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments and Bo Keo Provincial Police (Laos) to arrest Vu Thi Khanh Huyen while she and her accomplices were hiding in the Golden Triangle Economic Zone (Bo Keo Province, Laos).

Previously, on July 19, 2023, 5 citizens including Uong Thi Hoa (born in 1999), Bui Khac Hieu (born in 1998), Bui Nhat Thong (born in 1999, all residing in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province) and Nguyen Danh Thai (born in 2001), Dang Van Linh (born in 2000, all residing in Quang Binh province) went to the Criminal Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police to denounce Vu Thi Khanh Huyen for fraud in going to work in Myanmar and then selling them to companies owned by foreigners.

During the investigation, the police determined that from November 2022 to June 2023, Vu Thi Khanh Huyen lured and deceived victims into going to Myanmar to sell cosmetics for the company owned by Huyen with attractive salaries.

With consent, Huyen took the victims to the Immigration Department to get passports, buy plane tickets and complete procedures for the 5 people to leave the country to the capital Yangon (Myanmar).

After arriving in Myanmar, Huyen and other subjects collected the victims' passports and personal documents, then used a car to transport them to Bo Keo Special Zone (Laos) and resold them to foreign companies.

Gia Lai Provincial Police Investigation Agency has issued a special wanted notice for Vu Thi Khanh Huyen.

Here, the victims were forced to commit online fraud through social networks. Because they could not meet the requirements of the job, the subjects beat them, starved them, and demanded that if they wanted to return to Vietnam, they had to pay a ransom of 210 million VND/person, otherwise they would continue to be sold to Thailand. Fearing for their lives, the victims asked their families for help and had to pay more than 1 billion VND to return home.

Currently, the authorities have extradited Vu Thi Khanh Huyen back to Vietnam for handling according to the law.
