The true identity of the 'hot girl' who sold 5 people across the border.

After luring five victims to Myanmar to sell cosmetics, Vu Thi Khanh Huyen (born in 1999, residing in Chu Ty town, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province) transported the victims to the Bo Keo Special Economic Zone (Laos) and sold them to companies owned by foreigners.

When the incident was exposed, Huyen was placed on a special wanted list by the Gia Lai Provincial Police Investigation Department for the crime of "human trafficking".

During the investigation, the Dien Bien Provincial Police, in coordination with the professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security and the Bo Keo Provincial Police (Laos), arrested Vu Thi Khanh Huyen while she and her accomplices were hiding in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone (Bo Keo province, Laos).

Previously, on July 19, 2023, five citizens, including Uong Thi Hoa (born in 1999), Bui Khac Hieu (born in 1998), Bui Nhat Thong (born in 1999, all residing in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province), and Nguyen Danh Thai (born in 2001), Dang Van Linh (born in 2000, both residing in Quang Binh province), reported to the Criminal Police Department of Gia Lai Provincial Police that Vu Thi Khanh Huyen had defrauded them by promising them jobs in Myanmar and then selling them to companies owned by foreigners.

During the investigation, the police determined that from November 2022 to June 2023, Vu Thi Khanh Huyen lured and deceived victims into going to Myanmar to sell cosmetics for a company owned by Huyen, promising them attractive salaries.

With their consent, Huyen took the victims to the Immigration Department to get passports, then bought plane tickets and completed the procedures for the five people to leave the country for Yangon (Myanmar).

After arriving in Myanmar, Huyen and the other accomplices collected the victims' passports and personal documents, then transported them by car to the Bo Keo Special Economic Zone (Laos) and resold them to foreign companies.

Here, the victims were forced to engage in online fraud via social media. Because they failed to meet the requirements, the perpetrators beat, starved, and demanded a ransom of 210 million VND per person to return to Vietnam, threatening to sell them to Thailand if they refused. Fearing for their lives, the victims sought help from their families and had to pay over 1 billion VND to return home.

Currently, authorities have escorted Vu Thi Khanh Huyen back to Vietnam for legal processing.
