Having directly fought with a gun in the war to defend the northern border, veteran Dau Van Thanh, from Tan Huong Hamlet, Quynh Thien Ward, Hoang Mai Town, cherishes the values of peaceful life more than anyone else. After being discharged from the army, he has made many contributions to the construction and development of his homeland, pioneered economic activities, and actively participated in local community activities.
In 2022, when the road passing through his family's farm was just a narrow trail, only accessible by motorbike, the local authorities launched a campaign to donate land to widen the road connecting to Quynh Vinh commune.
At that time, land was in high demand, and surrounding areas were being subdivided and sold at high prices, but Mr. Thanh's family voluntarily donated 914 square meters of land.2The land was cleared for road construction. His family also voluntarily cut down and relocated many old trees and some property on the land. Thanks to his pioneering efforts and those of several other households, the once unpaved road has now been paved with concrete, 8 meters wide. Mr. Thanh also actively participates in humanitarian and charitable activities in the local area.
As the Party Secretary of the Fisheries Association, Captain Phan Van Hai has become a leader on all fronts. Aware of his responsibility as a Party member in contributing to the protection of maritime sovereignty and security, the Fisheries Association's Party branch has coordinated with border guards and other relevant agencies in disseminating information and mobilizing fishermen to comply with the State's policies and laws.
Secretary Phan Van Hai has truly become a source of positive energy for the fishermen of Quynh Lap in general, and the Fisheries Association Party Branch in particular. As a result, the seafood exploitation industry in this coastal commune is becoming increasingly efficient.”
Over the years, Quang Khoi General Hospital has consistently maintained its private healthcare and community welfare activities in Hoang Mai town, becoming a bright spot contributing to the overall positive picture of the Nghe An province's healthcare sector. Dr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Party Secretary and Director of the hospital, has played a significant role in this achievement. The Standing Committee of the Hoang Mai Town Party Committee has directed Party committees at all levels, localities, agencies, and units to closely combine the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the performance of their duties; to specifically identify breakthrough areas for localities and units to organize effective implementation; and to promptly detect and effectively resolve key and pressing issues in localities and units.
The content of "following the example" and "setting a good example" refers to specific, practical actions in work and daily life, linked to the implementation of the Party's regulations on the responsibility of setting a good example, emphasizing the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and Party members, especially the heads of Party committees, governments, agencies, and units.
At the same time, the town is stepping up administrative reforms aimed at better serving the needs of citizens and businesses. As a result, officials and civil servants are enhancing their sense of responsibility and developing a civilized, courteous, and friendly work style, which is well-received and highly appreciated by the public.

Through learning from, following, and setting examples, the sense of organizational discipline, responsibility, attitude, style, and working methods of cadres, Party members, civil servants, and public employees have been enhanced; all levels, sectors, and political and social organizations have promoted a proactive and creative spirit, closely adhering to political tasks.
