As a person who directly fought with guns in the war to protect the northern border, veteran Dau Van Thanh, Tan Huong block, Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town, appreciates more than anyone the values of a peaceful life. After returning from the army, he has made many contributions to the construction of his homeland, pioneering in economic development as well as actively participating in local activities.
In 2022, when the road passing through his family's farm was still a narrow trail, only motorbikes could pass through. The locality launched a movement to donate land to open a road to connect the road to Quynh Vinh commune.
At that time, land was in a fever, the surrounding lands were divided into lots and sold at quite high prices, but Mr. Thanh's family voluntarily donated 914 m2land to make way for the road. His family also voluntarily cut down and moved many old trees and some properties on the land. Thanks to his pioneering work and that of some other households, the dirt road has now been paved with concrete and is 8m wide. Mr. Thanh also actively participates in humanitarian and charitable activities in the locality.
As Secretary of the Fisheries Association Party Cell, Captain Phan Van Hai has become a leader on all fronts. Aware of the responsibility of a Party member in contributing to protecting sovereignty and security of the sea and islands, the Fisheries Association Party Cell has coordinated with the border guards and functional agencies in propagating and mobilizing fishermen to comply with the State's policies and laws.
