German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is upset by the imbalance in Western aid to Ukraine, the Tagesspiegel publication writes.

“Scholz is very upset by the lack of balance between what Ukraine really needs now and the debate on Taurus missiles. What the Ukrainian Armed Forces lack is ammunition,” the publication said.

The day before, Scholz said that Germany would not supply Taurus missiles to Kiev in order to avoid being drawn into the conflict.

Excluding the supply of Taurus missiles to Kiev

"We cannot in any way be linked to the goals that this system is supposed to achieve," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told reporters in Berlin.

According to him, the use of Taurus requires the guidance of German specialists, but so far in Germany the principle is applied that not a single German soldier can set foot on Ukrainian soil. For this reason, the topic of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine is not on the German agenda.
