German Chancellor Scholz upset by imbalance in support for Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is upset by the imbalance in Western aid to Ukraine, the Tagesspiegel publication writes.
“Scholz is very upset by the lack of balance between what Ukraine really needs now and the debate about Taurus missiles. What the Ukrainian Armed Forces lack is ammunition,” the publication said.
The day before, Scholz said that Germany would not supply Taurus missiles to Kiev in order not to be drawn into the conflict.

Excludes supplying Taurus missiles to Kiev
"We cannot in any way be linked to the goals that this system is intended to achieve," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told reporters in Berlin.
According to him, the use of Taurus requires the guidance of German specialists, but so far in Germany the principle is that no German soldier can set foot on Ukrainian soil. For this reason, the topic of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine is not on the German agenda.
