(Baonghean.vn) - After a recent restoration and embellishment project, Thanh Liet Temple - a national historical and artistic relic in Xuan Lam commune (Hung Nguyen) has a new, spacious appearance, ready for the opening day of the festival.
Thanh Liet Temple is located on the bank of Lam River and was built in the post-Le Dynasty to worship the gods who contributed to protecting the country and protecting the people associated with the river region. After hundreds of years of existence, the temple has seriously degraded. After more than 1 year of restoration and embellishment with a budget of tens of billions of VND, the temple has a new, spacious appearance. The temple grounds have been expanded (12,600 m2) and surrounded by a solid wall, with an entrance gate on the river bank and a festival stage inside. The festival was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2018.
