Arrest of the subject who raped and robbed a 14-year-old girl
After raping and robbing a 14-year-old girl, Bao sold her to get money to play games and was arrested by the police.
On March 20, information from the Investigation Police Agency (IPA) of Tan Tru District Police, Long An Province said that they had just temporarily detained the subject.rape, robbed a 14 year old girl in the area.
Specifically, 2 days ago (March 18), the Investigation Police received a report from Mr. NVP, residing in Tan Binh commune, about his 14-year-old daughter being raped and robbed of her property by an unknown male subject who used force, strangled her until she fainted, and robbed her of: 1 motorbike, 2 cell phones...
After receiving the report, the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Tru District Police and the People's Procuracy at the same level examined the scene and coordinated with the Criminal Police Department, Long An Provincial Police to investigate the subject.
At around 2:45 p.m. on March 19, the police discovered the suspect hiding in a game shop on National Highway 1, Ward 2, Tan An City, so they arrested him.
At the police station, the suspect declared his name as Thach Ngoc Bao (19 years old, from Soc Trang) and lived as a vagrant. When checking Bao, the task force seized 1 jacket, 1 citizen identification card of the victim and 428,000 VND.
Bao confessed that he had previously used Facebook to make friends with the victim and was invited to her home. At around 12:00 noon on March 18, the two met. Bao demanded to have sex but was resisted, so he used force to rape and rob her.
After that, the subject sold the victim's property for nearly 1.5 million VND and went to play games before being arrested by the police.
Through initial investigation, in 2022, Bao was sentenced to 9 months in prison by the People's Court of Tam Binh district, Vinh Long province for theft of property and was released from prison on June 22, 2023.
