Body of drowned student found in Hieu River
(Baonghean.vn) - According to information from the People's Committee of Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district, at around 4:00 p.m. on April 5, the authorities found the body of VVH.
Student VVH (born 2007), residing in Khe Sai 2 hamlet, Nghia Loc commune, Nghia Dan district. Before that, at noon on April 4, student H. and five other friends went to the bank of Hieu river in block 1, Long Son ward, Thai Hoa town to pick strawberries, unfortunately student H. slipped and drowned.
Seeing H. in trouble, a child jumped in to save him. Later, this child also drowned but luckily drifted to shore safely, while H. went missing.
Upon receiving the news, the authorities mobilized personnel and vehicles to the scene to search for the victim in the river section above. After finding H.'s body at 4:45 p.m. on April 5, about 50 meters from the drowning location, the authorities handed over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.
It is known that H.'s family is an ethnic minority and is in difficult circumstances. Representatives of the government, departments, and unions of Nghia Loc commune and Khe Sai hamlet also visited and encouraged the family.
