Breaking up a drug trafficking ring led by a 9X from Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Quy Chau District Police and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Police jointly led the successful investigation into a large-scale inter-provincial drug ring, arresting one suspect and seizing 8,000 synthetic drug pills.
At the end of April 2024, through the work of grasping the situation, Quy Chau District Police discovered a drug trafficking and illegal transportation ring between provinces with a large quantity led by Ngan Van Pit (born in 1992), residing in Nhon Mai commune, Tuong Duong district.
Pit is a serious drug addict who has just finished serving a 10-year prison sentence for illegal drug trafficking. During his criminal activities, he always carried a knife and often hid in the mountainous border areas, making the fight against him very difficult.
Given the complexity of the network and the recklessness of the subjects, Quy Chau District Police reported to the Provincial Police for direction and coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police to establish a case to fight.

After a period of persistent monitoring, with the synchronous and effective implementation of professional measures, at 9:30 p.m. on May 2, in the Chieng village area, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, Quy Chau district police and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the provincial police coordinated to deploy secret forces, suddenly arresting Ngan Van Pit for the act of illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs.
The seized exhibits included 2,000 synthetic drug pills; 1 motorbike; 1 mobile phone, 2 daggers. Expanding the investigation, on the same day, searching the suspect's residence, the Investigation Team seized an additional 6,000 synthetic drug pills and some related exhibits. The process of arresting the suspect ensured absolute safety for the people and officers and soldiers.
Currently, Quy Chau District Police are detaining the subject to continue the investigation.
